Who we are
Elyt is an iPhone app that reads heart rate from a band you already own and turns it into sleep, recovery and strain, with a personal coach and the people you choose to share with. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean the developer of Elyt.

Your account
Elyt needs an account. We keep your name, username, verified phone number, email if you give one, birth date, profile photo or mascot, bio and plan. Your phone number and email are never shown to other members; others see your name, username, photo or mascot and bio.
Members aged 13 to 17 join with a parent's confirmation, made with a code sent to the parent's phone. Elyt is not for anyone under 13.
What we store, and where
Your band's readings and your scores are kept on your iPhone. They are also stored on Elyt's servers:
- On paid plans, everything is backed up automatically (heart rate, sleep, recovery, strain, workouts and steps), so you can restore it on a new phone and receive your monthly report.
- On Free, there is no backup: we keep only your last 14 days of daily scores, so the people you share with can see them.
- Live heart rate is sent while you share Everything with someone: every 5 seconds while they are watching, otherwise once a minute.
The Elyt team can see an individual member's data to prepare their reports and give support, and for nothing else. We never sell your data. There are no ads and no tracking, and health data is never used for advertising.
Elyt saves to Apple Health only what your band actually measured, and only if you allow it.
Sharing with friends, family and groups
You choose what each person sees: Strain, Sleep, Recovery, or Everything (live heart rate and all history). Adding someone as family shares Everything once they accept; either of you can change or stop sharing at any time. In a group you choose what you share with that group. Communities are public and for members over 18; what you post there is visible to their members.
Family alerts (an unusually high or low heart rate at rest, a band off for hours) are wellness alerts, not emergency monitoring. If someone is unwell, call emergency services.
Payments
Pro is paid through the App Store; we receive a record of your subscription, never your card. Black and Concierge are paid on the Elyt website through a payment provider.
Your coach
Elyt's coaches, Lumi and Leo, run in the cloud. Before the first message or call, Elyt asks for your permission. Nothing is sent until you agree, and then only while you message or call the coach.

The summary carries no email, phone number, account or other identifier. These providers process your data under their API terms. They keep it for up to 30 days to prevent abuse, and they do not use it to train their models.
Device check
To keep the coach safe from misuse, our server at api.getelyt.com uses Apple's App Attest to confirm requests come from a real copy of Elyt. For each install the server holds only an App Attest key, a counter and that day's usage count. It never stores the content of your messages or calls.
Your choices
- Turn the coach off in Settings at any time. Nothing more is sent until you agree again.
- Change permissions for Apple Health, Bluetooth, Motion and the microphone in iOS Settings. Elyt works without the coach, and you can enter your details by hand instead of using Apple Health.
- Export a backup of your data from Settings.
- Delete your account in My account: it removes your account and everything stored on our servers.
- Delete everything on this iPhone with Settings → Delete all my data.
- Ask us about your data, or make a complaint, at the contact address above.
